Der Begriff Governance kann für viele Menschen viele Bedeutungen haben. Versuchen wir daher zunächst zu verstehen, was Governance genau bedeutet.

Unternehmensführung

Unter Corporate Governance versteht man die Regeln, Richtlinien und Prozesse (und in manchen Fällen auch Gesetze), nach denen Unternehmen betrieben, reguliert und kontrolliert werden.

Diese werden oft durch einen Vorstand oder Anteilseigner oder durch die Satzung der Organisation festgelegt; Sie können aber auch durch Gesetze, Vorschriften, Normungsgremien oder Verbrauchergruppen definiert werden.

Governance needs to be able to evaluate, direct and monitor the strategy, policies and plans.

      correctly followed.

    • Governance includes defining roles and responsibilities, measuring and

      reporting, and taking actions to resolve any issues identified.

The international standard for corporate governance of IT is ISO/IEC 38500.
